Second graders were observing and exploring in the garden. Kids were looking for details in the plants that are growing- colors, shapes, textures and sizes of plant parts. Then kids wrote notes and sketched their observations!

Potato Harvest
Mrs. Kimball-Dorey's first graders were out in the garden Wednesday with our friend Meighan Matthews digging up potatoes. Everyone took one home to share and the rest will be donated to the local food pantry. Kids found worms, spiders and grubs too! A great time was had by all!

Welcome Back!
This is the Davis School garden blog where our whole community can learn about our garden and see what's happening outside in the dirt!
Right now our garden is bursting with all kinds of late summer goodies. Stop by and take a peek-it is across from the bus loop.
See you in the garden!

Miss Hart's Gardeners
Kids in Miss Hart's class went out to the garden and picked radishes and lettuce that they grew. They ate it with their families who came to see their farm play!
Mrs. Meyer's Gardeners
Mrs. Meyer's second graders harvested lettuce, swiss chard and radishes from their garden today. Everyone got to take a huge bag home to share with their families!
