Planting Bulbs!

The kids in the modular classrooms planted different types of bulbs today. They used a trowel to dig a hole,  then put their bulbs in with the roots down. In the spring we hope to see tulips, snow drops and mini daffodils!

Davis Garden Volunteer Clean Up!

Thank you to parent, Kate Faulkner
and Grandparent, Robert Hill for joining me to clean up the garden in preparation for winter.
We cleaned out classroom beds, cleaned out the compost bins and put aside some of the special garden finds.
The carrots came from Mrs. Arakelian’s classroom bed.
We saw a lot of potatoes and imagine that might be a fun garden activity for kids to dig them up.
I look forward to being in touch in March to plan for Spring gardening activities!

Compost is Happening!

Bedford dad Tony Cheng has made us another, much needed compost bin for our garden weeds and other garden items.  Thanks to Tony, we now have 2 large wooden compost bins as well as 2 tables for gardeners to use when working outside.
We all appreciate his time, energy and support of our beautiful garden at Davis!
